Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in San Antonio on New Year’s Eve, and the customer service truly stood out. Jonathan, our valet, was absolutely exceptional. He went above and beyond, especially helping me with my 6- and 3-year-old, which made a huge difference for our family. His kindness, patience, and professionalism were outstanding. Thomas, who helped carry our luggage, was also wonderful—very careful, attentive, and courteous. Overall, our stay was exceptional. The resort is fantastic for families and kids, and everything exceeded our expectations. They even decorated our room for my husband’s birthday, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. Because of the amazing staff and experience, our arrival and departure were smooth and stress-free. 10 out of 10 stars — we would absolutely stay here again!

We loved the hotel! The service is excellent and they offer many activities: heated pool and heated lazy river, s’mores, renting bicycles, wildlife feeding, family room with games for kids and a trampoline, movies at the lawn, Starbucks. The only problem the hotel has is the pricy restaurants and pricy food options. The minimum is having a reasonably priced breakfast. I hope the hotel treats his team well- all of them were wonderful!

We stayed over the week of the new year. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. There are multiple dinning options so you do not have to leave the resort if you do not want to. The lazy river, pools, and slides were all heated so we could use them in December/January. The key to coming with a family is going around a holiday, spring break, or summer. That’s when they are staffed to offer up all of the kids activities. Our son enjoyed the games and art events that were available. He also loved the movies on the lawn. They had popcorn and blankets. The only event that was lack luster was the wild life feeding. We are fairly sure they just put our the bird seed and then go on with their day. The staff was wonderful! My husband and son also did multiple lessons on the Flow Rider and enjoyed the small ratios during the sessions allowing them to do multiple times and get feedback from staff. Our son is already asking to go back.

I was here for a work conference for a few days, and everything was great. I want to stress what triggered me to leave this review though. There was a young lady working overnight a couple of nights during my stay. Her name is Asia. She is the friendliest, most helpful, warm and welcoming person I’ve met in YEARS! This resort is extremely fortunate to have her.anything I needed or asked for she was right on top of it! I had an issue with the Starbucks in the hotel, and needed coffee asap. I went and asked Asia if she could help me, and she had a taxi there in 4 minutes to take me to get it. I would give her 10 stars!!!

Stayed here 3 nights for my birthday! This hotel has such great hospitality!! Troy with valet and Jacob with the front desk are amazing! The bartenders Marie and Phil (I forget the other 2 we had!) are all fantastic. Literally everyone is so friendly and helpful! The rooms are so nice and clean. Housekeeping stayed on it! The lazy river was slightly warm still and the hot tub is great! Will definitely be back!

We loved our stay. The room was beautiful which made for a relaxing Staycation for our family. Everything is approachable and easy for a family with young kids. Ms. Courtney made the paid crafts and family fun room one of my kids favorite things. I’d go back just to chat with her! Boston was amazing wave instructor. My five year old did it two days in a row and loved it.

I stayed here for 2 family birthdays and Hyatt made it an extremely special experience! Heaven at the front desk was fantastic and helped the check in process flow smoothly!! The room was clean and spacious and the TV was working perfectly! The view was to die for and each and every one of the staff was very helpful and always had a smile on their face. Will definitely stay here again!

We have been staying at this property since my kids were young, and now I got to take my grand-daughter for a long weekend and a visit to Sea World and to some of my favourite art galleries in TX. The property was always wonderful, and it's even improved! The rooms have been recently freshened up and still maintain the Texas-style decor. Beds were super comfy and quiet, and our patio view was gorgeous. The grounds are still amazing with the mature, native plants and gorgeous, natural landscaping and lighting. The paths are wonderful. The pool is ZEN and we had it all to ourselves since it was pretty chilly at night! The hot tub was fun and the lazy river was amazing!!! We were treated well (as always) by the lovely staff. Gael was particularly helpful in getting my g-daughter and me settled in our room since we had so.much.stuff. This was a weekend to spoil my grand-daughter so I did! We had breakfast in bed every day and watched three movies!! What a beautiful place filled with wonderful memories!!
